  • The duration of therapy varies depending on the client’s progress and needs. The duration of therapy can vary a lot depending on each person's unique journey. Typically, clients start with weekly meetings and transition to biweekly sessions once their goals are achieved. Each session lasts between 50-60 minutes, with an average of 20-30 sessions or more, though certain modalities have specific timelines. The content of each session is tailored to the client's specific requirements, with this customization process beginning during the initial meeting. Progress in therapy isn't always steady. There can be breakthroughs, setbacks, and plateaus. Some sessions might feel incredibly productive, while others might seem less so. It's all part of the process, and each step, whether forward or backward, is valuable.

  • Yes! We offer both in-person and virtual therapy to accommodate clients' availability.

  • No, not at this time. Please look at each clinicians’ fee structure on the fees page, but also be aware that some of the clinicians set aside some sliding scale spots between $50-$75 based on financial need, so if that is you, please ask. You can also pay for therapy services with HSA funds.

  • You can make an appointment by reaching out via info@empowermentcollectivephilly.com and we will schedule a consultation call. You can also click the links around the website that say “contact us” and it will lead you to a form to fill out. A referral is not necessary.

  • We understand that life happens and sometimes you’ll need to cancel. However, barring an emergency, if the session is not canceled within 24 hours, you will be charged for the missed session. We advocate for boundary-setting, so I want to practice what we preach!

    Please note that if you are more than 15 minutes late for the scheduled appointment, we will not be able to guarantee our availability to see you.
