I am LGBTQIA+ affirming, trauma-informed, and poly-friendly therapist that helps couples and individuals build stronger connections to themselves and others. No matter where you are, I’ll meet you with curiosity, empathy, and without judgement. I believe that people hold inherent wisdom within them, and my work is to bring that knowledge to the forefront. My approach is collaborative and client-centered, firmly rooted in a foundation of safety and trust.
In the therapy room, we will get to know all parts of you so you can learn how to understand yourself fully. Together we’ll explore the behaviors, thoughts, and feelings that keep you on a loop, and move through them with compassion so that you can gain a greater sense of awareness and agency in your life.
I received my Masters of Psychology with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy from Our Lady of The Lake University. While there, I trained at the Michael E. Debakey VA Medical Center where I worked with military veterans and their partners to help them navigate the effects of trauma, anxiety, and depression on their relationships.
I am trained in modalities like Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS), and draw from postmodern practices such as Narrative Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy in my approach. As a Jewish-Ukrainian immigrant, cultural humility is embedded into my practice and I strive to continuously learn from, and honor each person’s rich life experiences.
My specific interests include, but are not limited to:
Pre-marital counseling
Infidelity
LGBTQ+
Non-traditional relationship structures
Relationship issues
Navigating insecure attachment
Peer relationships
Self-esteem
Trauma and PTSD
