Dana Loreaux, LMFT (she/her)
Owner of Dana Loreaux Therapy & Clinician at The Empowerment Collective
I am deeply passionate about helping individuals and couples gain insight into their emotional lives. My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and grounded in the belief that the therapeutic relationship is a vital space for healing and growth. I work with clients who are curious about themselves and eager to explore their emotions, thought patterns, and relational dynamics in order to create lasting change.
Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, identity exploration, sexuality, or relationship difficulties, I am dedicated to providing a compassionate, tailored approach that supports your unique needs. My goal is to help you better understand yourself, break free from limiting beliefs, and deepen your connections with others.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology. My therapeutic work is rooted in psychodynamic therapy and attachment theory, enhanced by two years of post-graduate training. My experience spans both community mental health and private practice settings, and I continue to draw on a holistic, relational framework that fosters deep, meaningful transformation.
In individual therapy, we will explore the thoughts and feelings that may be holding you back from fully engaging with your life. Together, we'll examine how past experiences and societal influences shape your beliefs about yourself, empowering you to develop greater self-awareness, confidence, and emotional freedom.
In couples therapy, I help partners articulate their needs, listen to one another, and navigate difficult conversations. We’ll focus on both present-day interactions and past experiences that affect your relationship, aiming to improve communication, deepen mutual understanding, and remove barriers to intimacy and connection.
I believe therapy is a deeply personal journey, and there is no "one size fits all" approach. By getting to know each client as an individual, I create a safe, open space to explore the unique experiences and emotional histories that influence your current challenges.
